This is JUST an opinion and I’m probably going to get bashed a million and one times over and over for this, BUT, I’ve been really thinking about the Hunger Games Cast recently and this is who I would have pictured for SOME people.
Please keep in mind, this is just MY opinion.
Are we ready?
Katniss — Kristen Stewart
I KNOW, I KNOW, what you’re thinking, I’m crazy. Well, I can’t really give you an explanation, other than the fact that I think she’s perfect for the role. I REALLY think she could pull it off and do a great job. In all honesty, I’m not that big of a fan of Kristen Stewart, BUT I really believe she could do it, she could pull it off. When I was first reading the trilology, she was the first person that popped into my head to play Katniss. Personally, I think she fits perfectly into who Katniss is and the character description and qualities.
Prim — Bailee Madison.
You’re probably thinking, who? She’s the little girl that was on Wizards of Waverly Place that played the girl version of Max, Maxine. I think she’s incredibly talented and fits who Rue was in the books. Bailee was also in Adam Sandler’s latest movie with Jennifer Aniston, she played the daughter. She’s quite talented, I’m surprised Disney hasn’t snatched her up and created a TV show centered around her. This girl, I think, could be the next Demi/Selena/Miley/Hilary.
Gale — Alex Pettyfer
I know some fans were hoping/picturing that Alex Pettyfer would play Peeta, but in all honesty, I don’t/ can’t picture him playing Peeta. I just, no, just no. He’s too thin for my taste, I picture Peeta to be taller and bulkier, although, the actual guy that was casted to play Peeta is going to bulk up tons, like Lautner did for New Moon. Even though I don’t picture him playing Peeta, I do picture him playing Gale. I think he’d be a better Gale than anything else, again just a thought.
Are you guys ready for the next one, I can already hear snorts of laughter coming from you all.
Peeta - R Patz/ Rupert Grint.
Rupert has the muscles already, enough said.
R Patz my wonderful, dead Wizard, Sparkly Vampire, has the height and a little bit of muscles. R Patz was actually the original person that I thought to play Peeta. And if you think about it, it would be GREAT for both the Hunger Games and Twihards. I’m pretty sure there are fans who love Twilight and the Hunger Games and would love to see these two play romantic interests again, it’d be great marketing too. Plus, you have the people who have been following R Patz since he played that wonderful, WONDERFUL Hufflepuff in Harry Potter, Cedric Diggory. ANYWAYS, moving on…
Mrs. Everdeen — Geraldine Somerville
You wouldn’t know who she is by name, but she plays Lilly Evans in the HP films. And that’s all I’m going to say about that.
President Snow — Jason Isaacs
Need I say more? He plays the BEST villain ever. Seriously. Have you ever seen him in The Patriot, with Mel Gibson? SO GOOD.
Haymitch — BRENDAN GLEESON
This is the one that I”M STUCK ON. I can’t get him out of my head. I think out of all of my ideas for a good cast THIS is the most reasonable and best one yet. Seriously, though, when I first read Haymitch’s character I saw qualities that I could relate back to Mad Eye Moody. I think, again opinion, that these two characters are EXTREMELY similar. Just picture Brendan Gleeson aka Mad Eye Moody as Haymitch, ten bucks says you won’t be able to get him out of your head. I haven’t been able to for days. As previous characters and just like Katniss, Brendan Gleeson was the very first person I pictured as Haymitch was being introduced.
Basically, all in all, my IDEAL cast for the Hunger Games would be a mixture of the Twihard cast and the HP cast. Personally, I believe it would be such an amazing cast if the two were blended together, but again, that’s just me. I’m not even that big of a fan of Twilight, but for some odd reason, I’m stuck on these two casts being together to be in the Hunger Games. I know it’s not going to happen, but a girl can dream right.
Personally, I don’t like who they’re currently casting for the movies. I can’t see the girl who is playing Katniss to fit that role, lets hope I’m proven wrong.
